Lagos Police Arrest Cult Suspect with Weapons and Drugs

Muyideen Olatunbosun, aged 39, was arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command for alleged involvement in cultism. The arrest occurred during an intelligence-led anti-crime patrol in the Idi-Iroko, Ogolonto, and Agric areas of Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The police, led by spokesperson SP Abimbola Adebisi, acted on actionable intelligence that led to the suspect's apprehension and a subsequent search. Recovered items included a rubber-made pistol, an axe, criminal charms, and a substance identified as "Ice." Olatunbosun is currently in police custody and is assisting with ongoing investigations.

The police are also working to identify and apprehend other members of the suspected cult group linked to him. Commissioner of Police Tijani Fatai praised the operatives for their vigilance and reiterated the Command's commitment to intelligence-driven operations against cultism and other criminal activities in Lagos.

The police urged residents to provide timely information to aid in crime prevention.
