Police Arrest Suspected Kidnapper, Rescue Victim In Yobe

The Yobe State Police Command successfully arrested a suspected kidnapper and rescued a toddler, Abdulkareem Mohammed, who was abducted in Potiskum. The child's father, Mohammed Ishayaku, received a ransom demand of N2 million before the police intervened.

The swift action of the police led to the rescue of the child and the arrest of the suspect, Abdullahi Aliyu, aged 24, from Kakuri, Kaduna State. Commissioner of Police CP Emmanuel Ado commended the efforts of the police personnel and reiterated the Command's commitment to combating crime in the state.

Parents were urged to be vigilant and report any incidents promptly to the nearest police station. The Yobe State Police Command remains dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
