Police arrest suspected ritualists, cultists in Osun

The Osun State Police Command has arrested eight individuals suspected of murder and ritual killing. The suspects were apprehended in connection with the murder of a teenager, Faruq Abudu, in Arademi Area, Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area.

The suspects, identified as Ismail Abiodun, Usman Ademola, Yonke Akinwale, Fatai Abiodun, Fatai Sikiru, Tawa Inakonko, Idowu Adesina, and Awotunde Saudat, allegedly lured the victim into a remote bush, where they attempted to remove his vital organs. The victim was rescued and taken to a hospital for medical attention.

Additionally, two other suspects, Michael Temiloluwa and Odunayo Joshua, who confessed to being members of the Eiye confraternity operating at Osun State Polytechnic, were also arrested. The investigation is ongoing, and the suspects will be charged to.
