Police Force Reports Success in Operations Across 11 States

Between September 12 and 15, 2026, the Nigeria Police Force achieved significant operational successes across 11 states, including the neutralization of a suspected terrorist and the rescue of kidnapped victims. CSP Ani Iniedu, the Force Public Relations Officer, stated that police operatives collaborated with military personnel in a clearance operation in Gumki Village, Kebbi State, resulting in the neutralization of one terrorist and the recovery of firearms, including a PKT rifle and an AK-47, along with ammunition and motorcycles.

In Katsina State, two women were rescued unharmed after police engaged armed bandits in a gun duel. Ogun State saw the arrest of three suspected armed robbers, while six suspects were apprehended in Akwa Ibom State, leading to the recovery of guns and laptops.

In Sokoto State, a suspected bandit informant was arrested with ₦900,000, and in Delta State, seven suspects were detained with various illicit items. Additionally, a suspected kidnapper was arrested in Ekiti State, with a Toyota Venza and other items recovered.
