Jigawa Police Arrest Three Suspected Drug Dealers

The Jigawa State Police Command arrested three suspected drug dealers during an intelligence-led operation, recovering 5,676 pieces of assorted illicit substances. The suspects, identified as Umar Rabiu (22), Auwalu Muhammad (25), and Umar Akilu (25), were apprehended in coordinated raids based on credible intelligence regarding their involvement in the sale and distribution of prohibited drugs.

The operation yielded a significant quantity of illicit substances, including 3,833 Exol tablets, 204 Tramadol tablets, 919 Diazepam tablets, and 114 Pregabalin capsules, along with other drugs and N93,626 believed to be proceeds from drug sales. The Commissioner of Police commended the officers for their professionalism and warned against drug-related activities, emphasizing the police's commitment to disrupting drug trafficking networks.

The suspects have been arraigned in court, and the police will continue to pursue those involved in drug-related offenses.
