Ondo Police Arrest Two for Stolen Toyota Camry

The Ondo State Police Command arrested two suspects, Adeyemi David and Akingbad M, in connection with the theft of a Toyota Camry in Akure. The incident was reported on February 14, 2026, when the vehicle's owner discovered it missing after attending a social event on Sijuad Street.

Following the report, the police launched an investigation, deploying intelligence-gathering strategies to recover the stolen vehicle. The investigation led to the successful tracing of the car, which was found in the possession of Akingbad M, aged 40.

Further questioning revealed that the vehicle had been sold by the principal suspect, Adeyemi David. The police have stated that the stolen Toyota Camry has been recovered and brought to the station as an exhibit.

Both suspects are expected to face charges in court upon the conclusion of the investigation. The Commissioner of Police for Ondo State, Adebowale Lawal, commended the diligent efforts of the police in ensuring public safety and urged the community to remain vigilant.
