Enugu Police Detain Four in Vehicle Theft Operation

The Enugu State Police Command detained four suspects involved in vehicle theft and recovered stolen vehicles, including a Toyota Hiace and a Toyota Camry. The operation, led by SP Daniel Ndukw, took place on February 26, 2023, at 5:30 PM, in collaboration with a neighborhood watch group.

Joseph Nsor, 22, was apprehended at Chemist Roundabout in Enugu after arriving without a fixed address. He attempted to escape with a stolen vehicle reported to be in use.

The vehicle's owner has been identified, and Nsor was arraigned in court on February 27, 2023, and remanded at the Enugu Correctional Centre. Additionally, Ugwuanyi Samuel, known as Sammyblack, was detained on January 31, 2023, at 6 PM for possessing a red Toyota Camry linked to a kidnapping incident in June 2022.

The vehicle was snatched after the owner's son was abducted at gunpoint. Further investigations are ongoing to apprehend remaining accomplices.
