Borno Police Launch Crackdown on Unregistered Vehicles

The Borno Police Command announced a crackdown on vehicles lacking number plates, aiming to strengthen public safety and improve intelligence gathering to prevent criminal activities. ASP Nahum Dasa, the police spokesperson, stated that the operation is directed by IGP Olutunji Disu and is part of a broader strategy to combat crime in the state.

CP Naziru Abdulmajid emphasized that the operation is not intended to inconvenience law-abiding citizens but to promote accountability and support ongoing crime-fighting efforts. Vehicle owners are urged to ensure their vehicles are properly registered and fitted with approved number plates.

The command reassured residents that the enforcement will be conducted professionally and fairly, in accordance with existing laws and regulations. The public is called upon to cooperate with police personnel during this operation, which is crucial for public safety and national security.
