The Ogun State Police Command, represented by DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, has urged residents to remain calm and refrain from circulating unverified information that could cause unnecessary panic. This statement follows media reports and alarms raised by local hunters in the Odeda Local Government Area about a suspected kidnapping threat involving plans to abduct schoolchildren.

Babaseyi clarified that there is currently no credible intelligence to confirm any such invasion plans. The police command is actively enhancing its intelligence gathering, intensifying patrols, and deploying personnel strategically across the state.

They are also collaborating with local hunters and vigilante groups to strengthen security measures. Babaseyi reassured the public that the police are committed to maintaining peace and safety, advising residents to disregard misleading claims and remain vigilant.
