Delta Police Rescue Kidnapped Woman in Successful Raid

On March 19, 2026, the Delta State Police Command's Special Anti-Kidnap Cyber Crime Squad conducted a successful operation to rescue a 27-year-old woman who had been kidnapped on March 12, 2026. The victim was abducted from a building site near the Obosi River on the outskirts of Ibusa, located in the Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State.

Following intelligence reports, the police, led by Aina Adesola, received directives to ensure the victim's safe rescue. During the operation, the kidnappers opened fire on the police team, who responded with superior firepower, leading to the suspects fleeing the scene and abandoning the victim.

The rescued woman was subsequently taken to a general hospital for treatment. Efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects are ongoing.
