Niger State Police Arrest Teen Drug Suspect and Kidnap Gang Members

The Niger State Police Command apprehended a 16-year-old drug suspect on January 8, 2026, in Suleja following reports of criminal activities in the area. The suspect was caught with cannabis and illicit tablets.

Three other suspects, Mamman Bello (18 years old), Ibrahim Adamu (20 years old), and Umar Abubakar (25 years old), were arrested in Kwara State for their involvement in kidnappings and armed robberies. The suspects confessed to various criminal activities, including selling drugs and planning abductions.

Investigations revealed their roles in different crimes, with Umar Abubakar admitting to armed robbery incidents. Efforts are ongoing to apprehend other members of the gang involved in these criminal activities.
