Gunmen Kill Imam and Worshipers in Zamfara Mosque Attack

A tragic incident unfolded in Zamfara State as gunmen attacked a mosque in Yantodon Daji village, killing the Imam and four worshippers during morning prayers. The assailants also abducted three individuals in a deliberate act to provoke public outrage.

The State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Maikaba, revealed that the attackers targeted the mosque to draw attention and create chaos. The victims were identified as Sale Dangero, Mamman Yaro, Malam Lawali Bataribas, Malam Jafaru, and Malam Safiyanu.

Preliminary investigations linked the assault to a notorious bandit leader, Bakin Malam, operating in the Makera axis. Security operatives are on the trail of the attackers to ensure justice is served.
