New Police Base Inaugurated to Enhance Imo Community Security

On Tuesday, Imo State Commissioner of Police Audu Bosso inaugurated a new police operational base in Assa, Ohaji Egbema, aimed at boosting security in the oil-producing community. The facility, constructed through the corporate social responsibility efforts of the Anoh Gas Process Company Limited (AGPC), is designed to enhance police operations and safeguard lives and assets in the area.

The modern police base includes an administrative block, detention facilities, interrogation rooms, and advanced electronic equipment to improve operational efficiency. Commissioner Bosso commended AGPC for its intervention and assured that adequate personnel would be deployed to ensure optimal use of the facility.

Traditional ruler Emmanuel Assor Odozi Obodo II emphasized the project's importance in deterring criminal activities and urged residents to support the police with credible information. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Ohaji Egbema LGA Chairman Marcel Amadioha, who praised AGPC's commitment to community safety and development.
