Kwara Police Support Families of 19 Fallen Officers

The Kwara State Police Command presented cheques totaling N10,613,786.50 to the families of 19 police officers who died while serving the country. The presentation occurred on Monday at the command headquarters in Ilorin, led by Commissioner of Police Ojo Adekimi on behalf of Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Disu.

This initiative is part of the Nigeria Police Force's ongoing efforts to provide welfare support to the dependants of deceased personnel. Adekimi urged the beneficiaries to utilize the funds wisely, particularly for their families' welfare and education.

He acknowledged that while no financial assistance can replace a loved one, this gesture reflects the Force's recognition of the sacrifices made by the deceased officers. M.T.
