Police Launch Manhunt for Suspect in Ogun Molestation Case

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, has initiated a manhunt for a suspect named Kola, following allegations of sexual molestation involving a 17-year-old boy. The incident was reported at the Adigbe Police Division on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at approximately 5 PM.

According to the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, the teenage boy, accompanied by his parents, claimed that Kola sexually assaulted him on three separate occasions in January 2026 and threatened him to remain silent about the incidents. After the report was made, the boy was taken to a hospital in the Adigbe area for a medical examination, and detectives began their investigation.

The police emphasized that the matter only came to their attention following the September 8 report. The suspect is currently at large, and the Commissioner of Police has directed detectives to intensify efforts to locate and apprehend him.

The police assured the public that the allegation is being investigated with urgency and professionalism, reaffirming their commitment to protecting children and vulnerable individuals.
