Anambra Police Warn Against Fundraising for TikToker Arrested

The Anambra Police Command has issued a warning to Nigerians against contributing funds to secure the release of TikToker Anulika Onyeanusia, who was arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of her young daughter. Police spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed on September 16, 2026, that they are monitoring online comments indicating that individuals are attempting to raise money for Onyeanusia's release.

This fundraising activity is now part of the police investigation, as it may implicate others involved in the alleged crime. Onyeanusia was apprehended in Onitsha after disturbing content involving her daughter circulated online, leading to public outrage and demands for the child's protection.

During preliminary questioning, she admitted to earning income from the material, with the highest payment being $300. Her husband claimed ignorance of her actions, while Onyeanusia appealed to the public for forgiveness.

The case has sparked significant anger on social media, with calls for thorough prosecution of all involved.
