Police Neutralize Bandit, Arrest Three in Zamfara Raid

On May 29, 2026, the Zamfara State Police Command conducted a successful operation in the Kasuwan Daji area of Kaura Namoda Local Government Area, resulting in the neutralization of a bandit and the arrest of three suspects. The operation was part of the command's ongoing fight against crime in the state.

According to Yazid Abubakar, the police public relations officer, the suspects were linked to various criminal activities and were on the command's watchlist. The arrested individuals include Ali Bahago, Hassan Dan Kure, and Dahiru Lawali.

During the operation, police recovered a pump-action gun, a single-barrel gun, a G3 rifle, two Dane guns, four rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, nine pump-action cartridges, a handcuff chain, a locally made pistol, and three motorcycles. The suspects are currently in police custody as investigations continue, and the command urged the public to provide credible information to assist in the fight against crime.
