Police Foil Bandit Attack in Tsafe, Neutralize Suspect

On a recent operation in Tsafe, Zamfara State, the Zamfara State Police Command successfully foiled an attack by armed bandits. The spokesperson, DSP Yazid Abubakar, reported that the bandits, equipped with rocket-propelled grenades and AK-47 rifles, invaded the community with criminal intent.

However, a swift response from police personnel and community members led to an engagement in a gun battle, resulting in the neutralization of one suspect. Other bandits fled into nearby forests, with some possibly sustaining gunshot injuries.

CP Ahmad Muhammad Bello commended the bravery and resilience displayed by the police during the operation and reaffirmed the command's commitment to intensifying operations against banditry and violent crime across Zamfara State. He also urged residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and credible information to assist ongoing efforts to tackle criminal activities in the state.
