Zamfara Police Repel Bandit Attack in Two-Hour Gunfight

On June 8, 2026, at approximately 1600 hours, the Zamfara State Police Command, in collaboration with the VCRU, ZF Mobile Police Force, and civil security volunteers, engaged in a two-hour gunfight with armed bandits along the Gadar Manya in Anka Local Government Area. The confrontation began when a group of bandits attempted to cross the highway and opened fire upon sighting the security team, prompting an intense exchange of gunfire.
