Police Arrest 20-Year-Old Suspected Kidnapper in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Police Command reported the arrest of a 20-year-old suspected kidnapper, Mohammad Kasimu, in Doruwa Village, Song Local Government Area, on a Saturday. The arrest was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Yahaya Nguroj, who noted that credible intelligence led to the operation aimed at dismantling violent criminal networks in the area.

During investigations, Kasimu confessed to being part of a kidnapping gang that had previously abducted Alhaji Rabiu Haruna, with the gang reportedly collecting N15 million in ransom. The police also revealed that the gang comprised five members and was armed with two AK-47 rifles.

The Adamawa State Police Command emphasized its commitment to intelligence-driven operations to disrupt criminal networks and urged the public to continue supporting security agencies. The Commissioner of Police, Kabir Umar Hassan, reaffirmed the command's dedication to ongoing operations until all gang members are arrested and prosecuted.
