Kaduna Police Arrest 30 Kidnap Suspects in Major Crackdown

The Kaduna Police Command, under the leadership of Rabiu Muhammad, announced the arrest of 30 suspects involved in various criminal activities, including kidnapping, gunrunning, and vehicle theft. During a press briefing, Muhammad disclosed that the operations significantly disrupted criminal activities across the state.

The police recovered five firearms, including an anti-riot gun, and apprehended six suspects related to car theft, resulting in the recovery of four stolen vehicles. The operations were part of a proactive policing strategy that included coordinated patrol tactics targeting kidnapping, armed robbery, gunrunning, and vehicle theft.

Notably, on April 16, police engaged with suspect bandits along the Kaduna-Abuja expressway, following credible intelligence that led to the discovery of an abandoned AK-47 rifle and ammunition, reportedly left by a suspect who fled with a gunshot wound.
