Papaya Ex Alleges Police Assault in Lagos Incident

Abik Raheem, a social media personality known as Papaya Ex, recounted an alleged assault by police officers during a late-night encounter in the Ajah area of Lagos State. In a live session on TikTok on Friday, she described how the incident escalated from a calm interaction to a confrontation where she was reportedly struck in the face by an officer.

Raheem claimed that the officers also assaulted her driver and forcibly took her mobile phone during the altercation. Although the incident was not recorded due to poor network connectivity, she displayed visible marks on her face as evidence of the assault.

Raheem expressed her distress over the frequent harassment by police officers in the area and noted that such incidents occur regularly. The Lagos State Police Command has not released an official response regarding the allegations made by Raheem.
