Woman Slams Nigerian Police Over Brother's Harassment

A woman took to social media to express outrage over the alleged harassment of her younger brother by officers of the Nigerian Police Force in Lagos. She stated that she had gifted her brother a new phone before he left home and boarded public transport.

Upon reaching a bus stop in Ajao, police officers reportedly stopped him and demanded a bribe, questioning the source of the phone. Despite the brother providing a receipt via WhatsApp, the officers, identified as Daniel Isaac and his colleagues, refused to let him go.

They insisted on knowing the phone's origin and threatened to investigate the receipt's legitimacy. The woman criticized the officers for their actions, describing them as harassment and expressing concern over the use of firearms against unarmed citizens.

She highlighted the broader issue of police misconduct and the exploitation of innocent citizens by law enforcement in Nigeria.
