Police on High Alert as PDP Crisis Deepens Over Secretariat Reopening

The crisis within the PDP deepens as the Abdulrahman Moham-led caretaker committee announces plans to reopen the party's national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, in Abuja. The FCT Ministry had sealed the secretariat following violent clashes between rival factions.

The Police Command in the Federal Capital Territory is set to deploy officers to prevent potential violence as tensions rise. The reopening move faces opposition from the Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC), which insists that the Samuel Anyanwu group remains expelled from the PDP.

The Police have been urged to avert a repeat of past violence by deploying personnel to the area. The PDP's internal conflict continues as different factions clash over the control of the party's headquarters.
