Edo Police Investigate Attack on Entertainer MC Porcupine

The Edo State Police Command has initiated a full-scale investigation into an alleged attack on entertainer Osagie Idieda, popularly known as MC Porcupine. The incident reportedly occurred while Idieda was returning from a party in Benin City.

Eno Ikoedem, the Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the attack in a statement issued on Saturday. The state Commissioner of Police, Patrick Daaor, has mandated an immediate and thorough investigation to uncover the circumstances surrounding the attack, identify the perpetrators, and ensure justice is served.

Daaor condemned the violence and urged residents to reject unlawful conduct, emphasizing that such acts will not be tolerated in Edo State. The police command reassured the public of its commitment to maintaining law and order and protecting lives and property.

It also encouraged citizens to provide any information that could assist in the investigation and to report emergencies through designated police emergency control room numbers.
