Police Investigate Viral Video of Threatening Bus Driver

The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation into a viral video depicting a man dressed in police attire driving a commercial bus in Lagos, where he allegedly threatened to kill passengers and dispose of their bodies in a river. The incident reportedly occurred near Eko Bridge, with the video capturing the driver, who wore a police t-shirt and cap, engaging in a heated exchange with passengers.

The driver became aggressive when questioned about a sudden stop made to buy fuel without proper explanation, leading to threats against the passengers. CSP Aliyu Giwa, the new media officer for the Nigeria Police Force, confirmed that the footage is under review, noting that the individual was not in standard police uniform and his status as a police officer remains unverified.

Giwa condemned the behavior as unprofessional and unacceptable, encouraging anyone with credible information to assist in identifying the individual by contacting the nearest police station.
