Police Arrest Eight Drug Peddlers in Kano Operations
On Thursday, the Kano State Police Command, represented by spokesman CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, announced the arrest of eight individuals, including 21-year-old Samson Yakubu, during a raid at a black spot in Panshekara. The suspects were found in possession of 15 Pregabalin capsules, five Diazepam tablets, 10 Exol tablets, and dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.
In a separate operation at Matanfada Market in Kunchi/Ghari, five suspects were apprehended for allegedly intimidating traders and residents. Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori praised the operatives for their efforts and encouraged residents to report any suspicious activities.
The investigation into these arrests is ongoing, and the suspects are expected to be charged in court following its conclusion.
