NSCDC Arrests Four Drug Dealers in Kano, Recovers Drugs

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, arrested four suspected illicit drug dealers in Gaida, Kumbotso Local Government Area. The suspects, identified as Abubakar Abdullahi (35), Rabiu Baffa (25), Aminu Lawan (35), and Ibrahim Idris (33), were apprehended during a covert operation by the Counter-Terrorism Unit based in Dorayi Babba, Gwale Local Government Area.

The arrests followed credible intelligence regarding their involvement in the illicit drug trade. Items recovered included four sachets of Pregabalin 300mg capsules, dozens of Diazepam tablets, three tubes of Oshin Solution, and 20 parcels of suspected marijuana.

NSCDC State Commandant Mohammed Agalama warned against the illegal sale and abuse of drugs, emphasizing the threat it poses to public safety, particularly among youth. The suspects and recovered items will be handed over to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and legal action.

Agalama reiterated the NSCDC's commitment to collaborating with other security agencies to combat drug-related offenses.
