Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Vandal, Crack Down On Drug Trade In Akwa Ibom

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has made significant strides in fighting crime, including the recovery of a stolen vehicle, the arrest of a notorious vandal, and cracking down on the drug trade. The police confirmed the recovery of a Toyota Carina along Aba Road suspected to be stolen, and the arrest of a suspect who fled upon sighting the police.

Additionally, a suspected vandal, James, was apprehended for vandalizing school facilities and private homes. The police recovered items like dried cannabis leaves and arrested several accomplices.

In a coordinated operation in Uyo metropolis, four suspects were arrested for drug trafficking, with a large quantity of suspected Indian hemp seized. The police urged residents to provide information to assist ongoing investigations and ensure the prosecution of offenders, emphasizing their commitment to safeguarding the state and maintaining public safety.
