Nigerian Police Recover Stolen Vehicles Illegally Shipped from Netherlands

The Nigerian Police successfully recovered two vehicles stolen from the Netherlands and illegally shipped to Nigeria. The vehicles, a 2020 Toyota C-HR and a 2019 Toyota RAV4, were tracked down and retrieved in Lagos and Akwa Ibom State.

The operation was a result of a collaboration between Interpol and the Nigerian Police, with the vehicles being stolen in Amsterdam and transported to Nigeria via Belgium. The Federal High Court in Abuja issued a final forfeiture order granting ownership to the Dutch government.

Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, commended the operation, emphasizing the commitment to global security cooperation.
