Kano Police Recover Two Stolen Vehicles in Operations

The Kano State Police Command successfully recovered two stolen vehicles through intelligence-led operations conducted in the Tarauni and Kumbotso Local Government Areas. CSP Abdullahi Kiyawa disclosed that the first vehicle, a 2004 Toyota Corolla (dark ash color, registration number DRA 735AA), was stolen on April 22, 2026, from the vicinity of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Wuse, Abuja.

Following credible intelligence, the Special Intervention Squad launched an operation that led to the recovery of the vehicle in the Darmarawa layout of Naibawa, Tarauni LGA. The second vehicle, an unregistered foreign Kia Optima belonging to Musbahu Baba Muhammad, was reported stolen on April 24, 2026, from Khalifa Isyaka Rabiu Friday Mosque in Gadon Kaya along Buk Road.

This vehicle was recovered at 5:30 AM on April 25, 2026, in Ja'en Quarter, thanks to the collaboration of the Sharada Police Division and local vigilant groups. Police investigations are ongoing to apprehend suspects involved in these thefts.
