Kano Police Recover Four Stolen Vehicles, Arrest Suspects

The Nigeria Police Force in Kano State successfully recovered four stolen vehicles and arrested four suspects connected to separate vehicle theft cases. The breakthrough was announced by state spokesman Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa on a Saturday following intelligence-led operations directed by Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu and Kano Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Bakori.

The anti-car theft unit intercepted a dark blue Hyundai Elantra, reported stolen in Abuja on March 7, driven by suspect Ibrahim Muhd, 29, from Minna, Niger State, and Ahm Sani, 32, from Abuja. On March 9, the unit arrested Abdulkarim Mamman, 30, from Malali Quarter, Kaduna, who was found in possession of a Honda Civic along Kwanar Dawaki on the Zaria Expressway.

Additionally, Yusuf Ali, 28, from Kaduna, was arrested in connection with a silver Toyota Corolla stolen from Duts in Jigawa State and a white Nissan Sunny stolen from a parking lot in Kano Metropolitan. The suspects are currently undergoing investigation and will be charged in court upon completion of the process.

The command urged residents to continue supporting the police by providing credible information to aid crime prevention in the state.
