Kano Police Recover Stolen Vehicle, Arrest Three Suspects

The Kano State Police Command successfully recovered a stolen Pontiac Vibe vehicle and arrested three suspects involved in the theft. The operation was coordinated by CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa and was part of ongoing efforts to combat vehicle theft and related crimes in the state.

The case originated on April 17, 2026, when a resident from Danbar Quarter in Gwale Local Government Area reported the theft of an unregistered blue Pontiac Vibe. Following this report, the police's special intervention squad initiated an immediate investigation.

The operation utilized intelligence-driven tactics, leading to the recovery of the vehicle in an incomplete building in Jigawa State. The arrested suspects, identified as Shuaibu Abdullahi (37), Shuaibu Zakariya (24), and Abdurahman Ibrahim (35), are currently in police custody.

The police have assured the public of their commitment to protecting lives and property and have urged citizens to report any suspicious activities.
