Police Recruitment: PSC Provides Important Update To Interested Applicants, Explains 2025 Process

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced plans to decentralize the recruitment process for the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) by 2025. This move will involve giving state recruitment desk officers a greater role in the process to eliminate past issues of corruption and ensure transparency.

The PSC spokesperson, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, revealed this update following a stakeholder meeting with representatives from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

A new recruitment portal has been developed for the hiring of Commission staff and police officers, with the platform serving as a central hub for applications. The PSC Chairman, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd), expressed optimism about the new arrangement, emphasizing the importance of efficiency, accountability, and equity in police recruitment.

The 2025 recruitment process is set to officially begin soon.
