Lakanu Sensitizes Community on Police Recruitment in Osun

Retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Taiwo Lakanu visited the Alapomu Palace in Osun State as part of a tour to sensitize the community about the ongoing police recruitment exercise. Accompanied by members of the Police Service Commission and senior police officers from the Osun State Command, Lakanu aimed to provide accurate information regarding the timelines for eligibility, physical screening, aptitude tests, and medical examinations involved in the recruitment process.

During the visit, Oba Kayod Adenekan Afolabi, the traditional ruler of the ancient town of Apomu, promised to encourage the community to spread awareness about the recruitment exercise and pledged support for cooperation in promoting peace and law and order within the community. This initiative is part of efforts to build a strong relationship between traditional institutions and the police service.
