Police Deny Kidnap Claims in DCP Khan Salihu's Death

The Lagos State Police Command has rejected viral claims suggesting that the death of Deputy Commissioner of Police Khan Salihu was due to kidnapping. In a statement released on Tuesday by Police Public Relations Officer Abimbola Adebisi, the command described the claims as false and misleading.

Salihu had reportedly complained of feeling unwell and was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Medical personnel confirmed that there were no criminal acts associated with his death.

The police command criticized media organizations for publishing unverified information, which they stated caused unnecessary distress to Salihu's family, friends, and colleagues. They urged the public to disregard the misleading reports and called for an immediate withdrawal of such claims, emphasizing the importance of accurate reporting to avoid confusion and misinformation.
