Cross River Police Investigate Woman's Death in Hotel

The Cross River State Police Command has released a photograph of a woman found dead in a hotel room along Clifford Lane, Calabar South, earlier this month. She had checked into the hotel with an unidentified male guest, whose whereabouts are currently unknown.

The police, through a statement signed by ASP Eitokpah Sunday Akata, urged the public to help identify the deceased and provide any information regarding her identity or the male companion. Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman was found with apparent marks of violence on her face and neck.

The hotel receptionist discovered her after noticing the room door was open and is currently in police custody assisting with the investigation. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue, has mandated a professional and objective investigation to determine the circumstances of the woman's death and locate the male guest.
