Police Investigate Suspicious Death of Young Man in Rivers

On Thursday morning, a young man identified as Charles died under suspicious circumstances at a hotel located in Eagle Island Estate, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Family members and friends of Charles arrived at the hotel after being informed of his death around 5 am.

They were dissatisfied with the hotel's explanation that he fell from a balcony of a two-storey building. The family insisted on viewing the hotel’s CCTV footage to clarify the circumstances surrounding his death.

Obomate, the elder brother of the deceased, reported that upon visiting the hotel, they found signs indicating a struggle rather than a simple fall, including traces of blood. At the hospital, a doctor indicated that Charles had a stab wound on his stomach and suspected he had been severely beaten.

Obomate called for justice and a thorough investigation into the incident, emphasizing that his brother's death should not go unanswered.
