Ondo State Police Conduct Joint Security Patrols

The Ondo State Police Command, in collaboration with various security agencies, conducted coordinated joint patrols across strategic locations in the state. This operation, which took place on Monday, involved officers from the police, the 32 Brigade Artillery of the Nigerian Army, the NSCDC, and the Amotekun Corps.

The patrols targeted high-traffic commercial centers and densely populated areas in Akure and surrounding communities. DSP Abayomi Jimoh, who signed the statement, emphasized that these patrols are part of a broader security strategy aimed at proactively tackling crime and ensuring residents can go about their daily activities without fear of intimidation.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Lawal, reiterated the commitment to maintaining peace and urged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities. The Inspector General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, was acknowledged for his strategic advice that has contributed to the operational success of the command.

The operation highlights the robust inter-agency collaboration among security forces in Ondo State.
