Ondo Security Agencies Arrest 99 Suspects in Major Raid

On a recent Sunday, a joint operation involving the Ondo State Police Command, the 32 Brigade Artillery of the Nigerian Army, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Department of State Services, and the Amotekun Corps led to the arrest of 99 suspects linked to various criminal activities across Ondo State. DSP Abayomi Jimoh disclosed that the operation targeted identified criminal hideouts and flashpoints known for criminal activities.

During the operation, several items related to criminal activities were recovered, including stolen property. The arrested individuals are currently undergoing screening and profiling, with those found culpable set to be charged in court.

Adebowale Lawal, the state commissioner of police, commended the collaborative efforts of the security agencies and emphasized the importance of intelligence-driven operations to dismantle criminal networks. He warned criminals to desist from unlawful activities, asserting that Ondo State will not serve as a safe haven for crime.
