Police Unseal PDP Secretariat for Wike-Led Faction

The police have unsealed the People's Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat located at Wadata Plaza in Abuja, granting access to the faction led by Nyesom Wike. This action was confirmed by Abdulrahman Moham, the party's national chairman, following a court order that mandated the unsealing of the property.

The police's decision reflects adherence to constitutional order and due process, as stated by Samuel Anyanwu, who recognized the professionalism of the police. However, Anyanwu warned that the party would not tolerate any actions that obstruct peace at the secretariat.

The unsealing comes after a violent clash between rival factions within the PDP, with the Wike faction expressing appreciation for the police's initiative. Conversely, the faction loyal to Tanimu Turaki criticized the unsealing, claiming it showed contempt for the ongoing legal appeal regarding the party's leadership.

Ini Ememobong, a spokesman for the Turaki faction, described the police's actions as potentially partisan and urged party members to remain peaceful and law-abiding.
