Wike's Faction Takes Control of PDP Secretariat in Abuja

Nyesom Wike's faction has officially taken over the People's Democratic Party (PDP) National Secretariat in Abuja after a prolonged internal dispute. This development follows a court of appeal ruling on March 9, which resolved the leadership dispute in favor of Wike's camp, nullifying a previous convention held on November 16.

The Nigeria Police Force acted to enforce this court order, unsealing the premises at Wadata Plaza, which had been closed for months due to conflicts between rival factions within the party. The National Working Committee (NWC), led by Abdulrahman Moham, expressed satisfaction with the police's professional adherence to the rule of law.

They warned against any actions that could disrupt the peace within the secretariat and called for unity among party members. Wike's leadership was acknowledged for its crucial role during the crisis, with special recognition given to key figures who supported the faction during this tumultuous period.
