Wike's Faction Renovates PDP Secretariat After Unsealing

The faction of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) supported by Nyesom Wike has initiated renovation work at the party's national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, in Abuja. This development follows the unsealing of the property, which was previously barricaded.

The renovations began on Sunday and include tasks such as painting, replacing air conditioning units, and changing locks for offices allocated to new national working committee members. Despite the ongoing renovations, staff members loyal to Tanimu Turaki's faction face challenges in resuming their duties.

Abdulrahman Moha, the faction's national chairman, announced the reopening of the PDP national secretariat and emphasized compliance with a court order regarding the property. Samuel Anyanwu, the national secretary, commended the police for their adherence to the rule of law.

In contrast, the Turaki-led faction described the unsealing as contemptuous, citing a judgment that the police's actions could potentially tamper with an ongoing court appeal.
