Imo Police Recover 450 Stolen Motorcycles, Owners Urged to Claim

The Imo State Police Command, represented by spokesman Henri Okoy, has disclosed that a total of 450 motorcycles, believed to be stolen, have been recovered and remain unclaimed. The police are calling on individuals whose motorcycles were stolen or snatched, both within and outside Imo State, to come forward and identify their bikes.

Claimants must report to the Imo State Police Command headquarters in Owerri, specifically at the anti-kidnap unit, and provide credible proof of ownership. This includes purchase receipts, registration documents, engine and chassis numbers for verification.

The police emphasized that strict verification procedures will be followed to ensure that the motorcycles are released to the rightful owners in accordance with legal standards. The announcement reiterates a previous press release issued on April 6, 2026, regarding the recovery of these motorcycles, which were seized from syndicates involved in motorcycle theft at gunpoint.
