Osun Police Warn Against Cultist Protest Plans

The Osun State Police Command has warned against a planned protest allegedly linked to a group called the “Congress of Cultists,” which is said to be associated with the Neo-Black Movement, also known as Black Axe. The warning was issued in a statement by the police spokesperson, Abiodun Ojelabi, who described the group as faceless and indicated that intelligence suggested its connection to cult activities.

The police cautioned that any individuals or groups intending to cause chaos or disrupt public peace would face decisive action from law enforcement. The statement emphasized that the police and other security agencies would not allow miscreants to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere or endanger lives and property.

Additionally, the police advised those with grievances to seek lawful means of resolution rather than resorting to violence or self-help. This warning comes amid an ongoing investigation into a recent killing in the state, with some suspects identified but still at large.
