Police Reject ₦100m Bribe, Seize 60 Tonnes of Stolen Rails

On April 9, 2026, police operatives in Nasarawa intercepted 60 tonnes of vandalized railway materials and rejected a ₦100 million bribe. The operation was led by a special tactical squad following credible intelligence.

The two suspects arrested were identified as Chisom Goodnew, 32, and Ahm Adamu, 22. The materials included railway track sleepers concealed in sacks of groundnut shells within a trailer truck.
