Peter Obi Urges Nigerians to Pray for Politicians, Blames Them for Nigeria's Woes

Former Anambra State Governor and 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, urged Nigerians to pray for politicians, attributing Nigeria's challenges to the political class during a thanksgiving service in Oyo State. He emphasized the need for a change of heart among political leaders to address the country's crises caused by poor governance and mismanagement of public funds.

Obi highlighted that Nigeria is not poor but poorly governed, stressing the importance of sincere and accountable leadership. The event was part of activities marking Oyo State's 50th anniversary, with religious leaders and government officials in attendance.

The anniversary celebrations began on January 26 and will conclude on February 3 with a gala night dinner at the Government House Banquet Hall in Agodi, Ibadan. Seventeen former governors of Oyo State will be honored for their roles in the state's development.
