Kwankwaso Exits ADC, Clarifies No Rift with Atiku

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the former governor of Kano State, has left the African Democratic Congress (ADC) along with Peter Obi. In a statement made during a prime-time television program, Kwankwaso explained that his departure was not due to any personal conflict with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.

He identified three major unresolved internal issues within the ADC that hinder its ability to field candidates for future elections. Kwankwaso emphasized that politics requires a flexible strategy and that he does not view political contests as personal battles.

He recalled previous presidential primaries, including the 2015 contest, where multiple candidates competed without animosity. Kwankwaso's remarks suggest that the ADC's future in presenting candidates remains uncertain, but he dismissed any notion of hostility among opposition figures, reiterating that politics is merely a game and he is not fighting anyone.
