SDP Chieftain Adebayo Critiques Selfish Politics in Nigeria

Adebayo traced the roots of Nigeria's political system back to the independence struggle, noting that the country's founding fathers embraced politics as a vehicle for collective progress. He criticized the current political class for their transactional approach, likening it to a casino where personal gain is prioritized.

Adebayo highlighted the negative impact of prolonged military rule on Nigeria's political trajectory, which has weakened ideological political systems. He called for a return to value-driven politics anchored in service to the nation, emphasizing the need to redefine the social contract between leaders and citizens to ensure political power is exercised in the public interest.
