Nigerian Polytechnic Students Propose 'Security Through Agriculture' Initiative to Address Insecurity

Nigerian polytechnic students from the National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAP) proposed a "Security Through Agriculture" initiative during a visit to the Ministry of Defence, where they commended the achievements in national security. The students highlighted the importance of tackling insecurity through agricultural development and praised the ministry's efforts in enhancing synergy among security agencies.

They also raised concerns about rising insecurity around educational institutions, particularly citing a recent kidnapping incident at the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi campus. The students urged the ministry to intensify joint security patrols to ensure the safety of students nationwide.
